Most traditional PDF websites require you to upload your files to their remote cloud servers. This means your private tax forms, job resumes, medical records, or company contracts are sent over the internet and stored in someone else's computer.
iEditPDF is built differently. We use modern web technologies (WebAssembly and Canvas) that allow your browser to process PDFs directly on your own computer or phone. Your files stay in your own hands from start to finish.
2. Password Protection & Privacy
When you use our Protect PDF tool to lock a file with a password, the password and encryption are applied locally on your device. Your password is never sent to us or saved anywhere on the internet.
